Working in product design for over 30 years has enabled Alan King Design to develop a wealth of experience and knowledge in product prototyping and manufacture. 

 

With an extensive knowledge of braille,  tactile interpretation and audio technology we have developed the Alan King Design and AKD brands. Helping blind and partially sighted people interact with their environment, enabling touch and sound experiences and offering products to assist in their normal every day lives.

Alan King Design is passionate about utilising as many recyclable techniques as possible, to reduce our manufacturing impact on the environment. With the Greedy Feeder range of products we are using recycled plastics and recoverable materials in manufacture as well as sourcing reclycled packaging and bio-degradeable materials where ever possible. 

 

In the future we will look forward to designing and manufacturing with exciting new materials. Using 3D printing and modelling to recreate ideas and replica pieces. We will strive to develop more products, still with environmental impact issues in mind.
